Mexican cuisine in Bochum — Chili con Carne, Enchiladas, Pollo con Mole and fresh nachos. The Mexico menu was our monthly cuisine in July 2026.
Honest, spicy, diverse.
In July, Taste-Trip was all about Mexico. We cooked dishes that are actually eaten in Mexico — no Tex-Mex clichés, but flavors that tell of street and tradition. Mole Poblano, one of the world's most complex sauces, met crispy nachos and fresh jalapeños.
Vegetarian and vegan paths were firmly built into the menu: Chili con Carne was also available in a plant-based version, and Enchilada Vegetariana was a standalone main course, not an afterthought.

Chili con Carne
With beef and pork, kidney beans, corn, tomatoes, peppers and jalapeños, served with crispy tortilla rolls and sour cream. Also available vegetarian/vegan.

Two wheat tortillas in homemade taco sauce, filled with cream cheese-avocado cream, coleslaw, peppers and coriander. Covered with enchilada sauce and cheese, gratinated.

Classic Mexican: chicken leg in velvety Mole Poblano sauce (chili-chocolate sauce) with nacho-sesam coating, banana, coriander, nuts and bean cream.

Juicy beef patty with jalapeños, nachos, avocado-cream cheese cream, coleslaw, red onions, grilled pineapple, Trip sauce and spicy Chester cheese. Served with potato wedges.

House-baked nachos with cheese sauce and cheese, topped with guacamole. Optionally extendable with Chili con Carne, Mango-Avocado Salsa or Cheese Sauce.

The right drinks go with the Mexican menu: Paloma Tropical (Tequila, lime, pink grapefruit, soda), Mango Lime Lemonade (homemade), Jarritos Lemonade (the cult lemonade from Mexico) and Mezcal San Cosme (neat, as an aperitif). Plus Desperados as a refreshing tequila beer.
